INCT is the acronym for Instituto Nacional de Ciência e Tecnologia (in english, National Institute of Science and Technology). It is one of the largest science and technology programs in Brazil and aims to develop science and technology at the highest level, on the so-called frontier of knowledge.
The INCT GNSS Technology for Supporting Air Navigation was approved by the INCT 16/2014 call. This is a six year project, which began in January 2017. It has been designated as GNSS-NavAer. Among the 14 research themes presented during the call, it is included in the "Air Traffic Control and Management" theme.
Several institutes participate in this project: the Unesp Campus of Presidente Prudente that coordinates it, the INPE, the ITA, the IAE, the PUC-Rio, the UFRGS and the IFSP Campus of Presidente Epitácio.
